Your localized efforts, make a global impact

A story was told of how John often jogged every Sunday through a park  and there’s a lake by the park corner.

Often, he sees the same elderly woman sitting at the water’s edge with a small metal cage sitting beside her.

One Sunday his curiosity got him, so he walked over to her.  On a closer look he realized that the metal cage was in fact a small trap.  There were three turtles, unharmed, slowly walking around the base of the trap.  She had a fourth turtle in her lap that she was carefully scrubbing with a spongy brush. “Hello,” He said. “I see you here every Sunday morning.  If you don’t mind my nosiness, I’d love to know what you’re doing with these turtles.” She smiled. “I’m cleaning off their shells,” she replied. “Anything on a turtle’s shell, like algae or scum, reduces the turtle’s ability to absorb heat and impedes its ability to swim.  It can also corrode and weaken the shell over time.” “Wow!  That’s really nice of you!” She went on: “I spend a couple of hours each Sunday morning, relaxing by this lake and helping these little guys out.  It’s my own strange way of making a difference.” “But don’t most freshwater turtles live their whole lives with algae and scum hanging from their shells?” He asked. “Yep, sadly, they do,” she replied.

He scratched his head. “Well then, don’t you think your time could be better spent?  Your efforts are kind and all, but there are fresh water turtles living in lakes all around the world.  And 99% of these turtles don’t have kind people like you to help them clean off their shells.  So, no offense… but how exactly are your localized efforts here truly making a difference?” The woman giggled aloud.  She then looked down at the turtle in her lap, scrubbed off the last piece of algae from its shell, and said, “Sweetie, if this little guy could talk, he’d tell you I just made all the difference in the world.”

You make a world of difference maybe not all at once but one person, one animal, one good deed at a time.  Wake up every morning, pretend like what you do matter. Because   It does. Even when they call you local celebrity, talking down at  Your efforts at grinding hard at your dreams, know that you may have a local presence but you sure do have a global vision, those who make a world of difference starts by conquering their consistency.. In the roundabout, you too my friend are a champ. Have you been in a position where people disrespect or disregard your contributions. Share your story.

  1. Providing you have an active Nintendo Switch
Online subscription, you and a friend can jump online for some Smash with players from around
the globe. Nintendo have also announced additional playable characters to be released as part of a paid DLC pack called the
Fighters Pass. The Fighters Pass includes five additional characters, each with their own stage and
music tracks. Each character pack will also be available for sale separately upon their release.
The first announced character is Joker from Persona 5; a complete left field choice that not only fits
perfectly with the Smash Bros. As much as I have espoused the virtues of Super Smash Bros.
Ultimate, there are a few negatives to the game that must be discussed.
The first issue that everyone will encounter is the way characters are unlocked.
When you first boot up the game, you’ll only have access to the initial eight characters from the original Super Smash Bros..

Characters can be unlocked in a variety of ways, including by completing certain challenges or by unlocking the character in World of Light.
Both of these methods would take dozens of hours to unlock every character.
