A story was told of how a certain man who lives in KADUNA state of Nigeria missed his blessings.
The man whose name is Jarfa was often heard calling out the Governor of Kaduna state El Rufai’s. He accused his government of massive corruption and misappropriation of fund through the Media Houses and social media platforms.
It got the a point where the government could not ignore him so they invited Jarfa with the intention of hiring him but first they needed to test how sincere he was, if he were a better man than the governor.
‘JARFA’ was directed to charter a ‘KEKE NAPEP’ which would be paid for by the governor upon his arrival and that their is a free gate passage for him.
Mr. Jarfa arrived as instructed and the Governor told him to let the KEKE man go and that his men will drop him later but he was given the sum of N200,000.00 to pay the KEKE man as a way of empowering the poor rider as well as to let the KEKE man always remember the very day he brought a passenger to the Government House.
The Governor asked Mr. Jarfa upon his return from paying the KEKE man, ”What was the reaction of the KEKE man after giving him such a huge amount? Mr. Jarfa answered that the KEKE man was actually dazed with shock!!!
Unknown to Mr. Jarfa, the security details at the 2nd gate had been asked to stop the KEKE man and bring him back.
When the KEKE man was brought back to the Governor, the Governor asked him, ”How much did Mr. Jarfa give you??? And the KEKE man said N2,000.00.
The Governor smiled and said, ”You see… from N200,000.00 to N2,000.00, you have pocketed N198,000.00 within seconds, only you!!!
You have lost the chance to own a brand new car. Look at the key here.
I thought you were an honest man. I was even looking forward to working with you, but you have messed up, you are even worse! You can leave now with your N198,000.00. Thank you very much for coming!!!”
In shame and disregard Jarfa left the government house, never was he heard in the news or any other public sphere.
We are always fast in pointing fingers but for many it’s only a matter of opportunity and they would do worse.
Corruption have eaten deep into our core, you hear people cry out and you think they are serious only to stop hearing their voice after a while because they have been settled.
There are millions of JarfA all around the world, waiting for time and chance to manifest. Honesty is the best policy.
Dont be like Jarfa.
Be the change you want to see for real change begins with YOU and ME.
